With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J Davis Sr. of Dover, Delaware, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William C. Davis; and his siblings, Robert Orem Davis, William Spencer Davis, Jane Pleasanton, Diane Laramie and Lauren McNinch.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dixon Davis of Dover; his children, Richard J. Davis, Jr. of Rehoboth Beach, Aaron Sacra, Lisa Davis-Callahan (Richard) of Dover and April Parker (Daniel) of Zebulon, NC; and his sisters, Carol Neidig of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Ayers of Virginia Beach and Roberta McNinch of Dover. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
