He was predeceased by: his sister Pamela J. Saroglia; and his father Alvinza M. Pickens Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Madeline Pickens; his sons, Richard Pickens Jr. and Johnathon Pickens; his grandchildren, Noah, Madeline, Alvinza and Jackson Pickens; his brothers, Alvinza Pickens and Wayne Pickens; his niece Lorraine Clark; and his friend David Rentz (Tracy Rankin). He is also survived by nieces and one nephew, one great-niece, three great-nephews, two great-great nieces, one great-great nephew.
