He was predeceased by: his mother Minerva Ortiz. He is survived by: his stepfather David; and his siblings, Luz Oquendo, Isabel De Jesus, Barbara Perez, Andre Sanchez (Amy), Alex Ortiz (Mayumi) and Jose Pagan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

After his time at Dunkin, he became an owner for the franchise, Sbarro in Delaware until COVID.
