With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney Bird of Dover, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thomas Bird and Lucille Dolores Bird; and his sister Lesly Ann Straub. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Bird; his children, Christine Martin (Christopher) of Allendale, NJ and Steven Bird (Cynthia) of Holiday, FL; his stepsons, Frederic Truax of Montvale, NJ, Peter Truax (Candace) of Ramsey, NJ and Thomas Truax of Beaufort, SC; his brothers, Richard Bird, Russell Bird (Laurie) and Robert Bird; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Jennifer, Ryan, Kyle, Madeline and Charlotte.
