She was predeceased by: her parents, Olan Stanford and Leona Stanford (Harris); her grandparents, Thomas, Pearl Stanford, Walter and Maggie Harris; her sons, Harvey Tyrone of Delphine, R. Y. and Edward Gary; and her siblings, Olin, Aubrey, Thomas, Ronald, Terrance, Ella, Constance and Lynne.

She is survived by: her friend Ellen Quail; her sister Lorraine Harris; her daughters, Delphine Bordley of Dover, DE and Kimberly Jefferson of Camden, DE; her son-in-law Raylando Jefferson; her grandchildren, Jason Bordley (Vanessa), Sara Daniels (Michael), Pamela Anderson, Bianca Coston (Matthew) and Bria Jefferson; her sisters, Margaret Wilson, Betty Ricketts (William), Sharon Truitt, Judith Cooke and Cheryl Bryant; her sisters-in-law, Ernestine Collins (James), Sarah Bordley and Janice Bordley; and her godson Tevin Quail. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
