Shirley Gourley Burd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Gourley Burd (Dover, Delaware), who passed away on November 25, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Gourley and Elwood Gourley; her husband George; her son George T. Burd III; her siblings, Marianna Luff and Charles Pete; her brothers-in-law, Watson Clough and Walker Luff; and her siblings' children, James Luff, Donald Luff and Carol Clough.
She is survived by: her son Douglas (Valerie); her grandchildren, Kaleb (Jessica) and Kasie Burd; her great grandchild Riley Marie Burd; her sister Margaret Clough; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jo-Allynn Satterfield-Loden, Shelby Burd, Melinda Burd and Autumn Gourley.
In lieu of Flowers the family suggest contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 669, New Castle, Delaware 19720.
