He was predeceased by: his birth father George; his mothers, Stella Schmittinger and Naomi Martin; and his brothers, Danny Schmittinger and Willis Martin Jr..
He is survived by: his birth mother Stella Schmittinger; his wife Sharon Schmittinger; his daughters, Lisa Thomson (Charles) of Dover and Deborah Edwards (Brian) of Dover; his granddaughters, Emily Christianson (Isaac), Elizabeth Thomson Hennessy (Brandon), Rachel Thomson Troyer (Dylan) and Sarah Edwards; and his sister Shirley Wallace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and church friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Capitol Baptist Church (401 Kesselring Ave, Dover, DE 19904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
