Steven C Barnes Obituary
Steven C. Barnes of Dover, passed away, March 7, 2018 at Kent General Hospital. He was 62. Mr. Barnes was born May 31, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Herman T. Barnes and Jeanette Marie Rice Barnes. He was the owner of Capitol Contracting in Dover. Mr. Barnes enjoyed yachting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Nicholas Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Donna Geesey Barnes of Dover; daughter, Leah Barnes of Lewes; step children Kirstyn Gallegos of Dover and Nicole Barrentine (Matthew) of Magnolia; brothers, Robert Barnes of Venice, FL and Michael Barnes of Dover; sister, Jeannie Knox (Steven) of Dover; grandchildren, Sophia Cox, Johnny and Savannah Gallegos; nieces, Amanda Knox, Kelley and Katelyn Barnes and nephew, Corey Barnes.
Memorial services will be held 12PM, March, 17, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (RT 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Alex's Lemonade Stand.
