He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Simpson and Thomas Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Shields-Simpson; his children, Latanya (Shagion), Ambrosia (Alex), Latoya and Ariana; his grandchildren, Saala, Ethan, Zuri and Sayeed; his siblings, Kenneth (Doreen), Lydia and Marcia; his siblings' children, Tamika, Tiffany, Chanel, Jaleesa, Maurice, Jay, Jamel, Denzel and Sean; his brother-in-law Earnest Shields; and his godchildren, Kayla Knight and Damien Myrick. He is also survived by husband who adored his wife, a father who cherished his children, a grandfather who delighted in his grands, and a friend.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Evan W. Smith Funeral Services - Dover (518 S Bay Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
