With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Biddle Wingard of Dover, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Harrington Biddle and Ione Margaret McNamire Biddle; and her husband Donald C. Wingard, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Emerson of Sarasota, FL, Donna Wingard (Norman Hahn, Jr.) of Wyoming, DE and Patti Hooker (Dee Hooker) of Anthony, FL; her grandchildren, Courtney Emerson (Charlie O'Toole) of Seattle, WA, Jillian Emerson (Bryant Smith) of Midland, MI and Meredith Emerson (Brantley Johnston) of Atlanta, GA; her great grandchildren, Felicity Smith and Lenora Smith of Midland, MI; and her pet Liza Buttercup.
