He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Howard Cooper and Louise Anne Hildebrandt; his stepfather Bill Hilderbrandt; his siblings, Joseph, John, James, Joanne Brown and Jean Poore; and his son Mike.
He is survived by: his siblings, George and Patricia Cherricks; his wife Frances; his daughter Anne Cooper (Richard); his grandchildren, Richard Jr. and Krystle Diaz (Allen); and his great grandchildren, Robert, Abigail and Veda Diaz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
