With sadness, we share the passing of Jake Hanley of Felton, Delaware. Jake, born on July 9, 1988, passed away on October 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Peter K. Hanley, Bobby Reynolds and Kathleen Reynolds. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Danielle, Devin and Reagan; his parents, Shawn Hanley and Debbie Hanley; his sister Erica (Wayne Whitson Jr.); his nephew Keegen Davis; his in-laws, James and Jane Pippin; his siblings-in-law, Pamela Pippin and Jacob (Janet); his grandmother Shirley Hanley; his aunts and uncles, Francis Hanley, Matt Hanley, Peter Hanley II (Dawn), Chris Hanley, Paul Hanley, Steph Hanley and Andrea Caswell (Paul); and his cousins, Francis Hanley II, Emily Gildart, Heidi Harrison, Peter, Sara Bouffard, Adam, Matthew Hanley, Samantha O'Neal and Drew Hanley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pippin Funeral Home (119 W Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church (631 S State St, Dover, DE 19901). A repast will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit Jake's children may be made to their trust funds through Venmo at @Rita-Pippin-3 or by personal check, payable to Rita Hanley.
