He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald David Carey, Sr. and Margaret Elinor Carey (Wolfgang); his wife Kathy S. Carey (Marvel); and his sister Sharon Shields. He is survived by: his sons, Shane Allen Murray of Dagsboro, DE and Donald D. Carey, III (Leslie) of Frankford, DE; his granddaughter Lara K. Carey of Baltimore, MD; his siblings, Jackie Timmons (Gerald) of Dagsboro, DE, Denise Rust (George) of Millsboro, DE and Richard L. Carey (Diane) of Selbyville, DE; and his pet Toby.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Johnstown Cemetery.
