He was predeceased by: his wife Minnie M. Cubbage; his parents, William Hazel Cubbage and Kathryn Edwards Cubbage; and his siblings, Robert W. Cubbage, Clifton Cubbage, William Hazel Cubbage Jr., William H. Cubbage, III, Bootsy and Betty Cubbage.
He is survived by: his sisters, Edna Masten and Peggy Galipo; his children, Arlis Beebe, Bob, Lynette Cubbage, James and Tammy Cubbage; his grandchildren, Heather, Aaron Fetterman, Danielle, Brian Brown, Matt, Toni Beebe, Jeffrey Beebe, James, Chelsey Cubbage III and Gabi Cubbage; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Taralyne. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in James's honor to the Frederica Volunteer Fire Company.
