He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Mooney and Peter J. Mooney; and his siblings, Mary Grace, Ken and Les.
He is survived by: his wife Irene; his sons, David G. Mooney, Jr. and Eric G. Mooney (Suzayn); and his grandsons, Dylan and Dalton.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Parish (691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
