He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Nelson Jr. (Kim), Matthew Ortiz, Christine Ortiz and Yolanda Ortiz; his stepchildren, Bonnie Pedrick (George), Raymond Leyanna and David Johnson (Melissa); his siblings, Nelida Saldana, Confessor Ortiz and Sebastian Ortiz; and his grandchildren, CJ, Brandon, Peyton, Chase, Dylan, Justin, Zachary, Tristan, Jeremy, Josh, Jimmy, David Jr., Shannah, Ashley, Victoria, Tiffany, Lauren and Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
