He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert McDowell and Anna McDowell; his children, Brian and Lori; his granddaughter Courtney McDowell; and his great grandchild Elliana McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Amelia Abordo (Mely); his son Michael McDowell (Heidi); his grandchildren, Brianna Campagnini (Mike), Christian McDowell and Ryan Houston; his great grandchildren, Brennan, Kobe McDowell, Leia, Qi'ra and Anakin Campagnini; and his sister Connie McDowell.
