He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Simpson and Thelma Simpson (Wilson); his former wife Violet Simpson; and his siblings, Charles, Lester, Dallas, Helen, Mildred and Allis.
He is survived by: his wife June Ritter Simpson; his sons, Samuel Simpson (Leslie) of Harbeson, DE and Bill Burnside (Penny) of Makanda, IL; his grandchildren, Amy Lewis (Brian) of Lincoln, DE, Dan Simpson (Tara) of Milford, DE and Kara Burnside of Makanda, IL; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Khloe, Trevor and Garrett; and his brother Samuel Simpson of Anna, IL..
