She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Maddox Jr. and Shirley Lively. She is survived by: her son Shawn Demby; her siblings, Prudence Maddox, Celeste Bonner and Ellery Lively; her aunt Evelyn Foster; her uncle William Duckery; and her grandchildren, Tae (Demby), Kashtian Sullivan Demby and Shawntez Collins. She is also survived by six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
