She was predeceased by: her parents, Leola Swafford Hickman and Charles Swafford; her son Larry Tibbitt; and her siblings, Ralph Swafford, Helen Nickerson, Louie Swafford, Hazel Cohee, Donald Swafford, Danny Swafford, Harold Swafford, Teddy Swafford, Freddie Swafford, Nancy Payne and David Swafford.

She is survived by: her children, Peggy Butler (Bob), Ronnie Tibbitt, Debbie Stewart (Terry) and Kenny Tibbitt; and her grandchildren, Jenn Zeroles, Kim White (Heyward), Rob Butler (Jess), Danny Tibbitt, Heather Taylor (Lee), Justin Tibbitt (Peggy), Jessi Parks (Carlton), Brianna Bleen (Dee) and TJ Stewart. She is also survived by her 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
