He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys J. Downs, and Fred E. Downs, Sr.; and his brother John Downs, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Downs; his daughters, Caroline Downs-Wilderotter (Jeffrey), Maureen Downs Bumgarder (Randy), Susan Jaszemski and Heather Popo (Titus); and his stepdaughters, Amy Thompson and Tina Gonzalez. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
