He was predeceased by: his father John A. Townsend, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Naomi Carmean; his wife Becky Sheppard; his sister Jackie Valmassio (Alan); his sibling's children, Noni and Chase; his daughters, Ashlee, Alissa and Jennifer Porter (Tim); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amanda and Toby.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952).
