He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hopkins and Marion Hopkins; and his siblings, John and Cindy. He is survived by: his siblings, Gene Hopkins of Ohio, Bonnie Blankenship (Bruce) of Harrington, Connie Dean of Harrington and Mary Yearsley (Billy) of Felton; and his nieces, Lorie Wyatt and Lisa Buckler.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
