He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Benson and Shirley Elizabeth Benson (Jones). He is survived by: his wife Laureen Eick-Benson; his children, Luke Robert Benson (Ashley) and Kyle Edward Benson (Sarah); his grandchildren, Justin Blake Wade and Parker Robert Vernon Benson; his siblings, Barbara Williams and Roger Benson; and his niece Sabrina Williams.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hockessin Colored School (4266 Millcreek Rd, Hockessin, DE 19707).
