It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward W. Szczerba Sr. of Hockessin, Delaware, who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Szczerba and Cecilia Szczerba (Fraczkowski); his sisters, JoAnn Carello (William) and Roseann Dorazio (Anthony); his wife Jessica Mary Szczerba (Kwiatkowski); his children, Lisa Marie Hertsenberg (Dave), Edward W. Szczerba Jr. and Peter J. Szczerba (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Brittany Banks, Katie Szczerba, Alison Banks, Jack Szczerba of Peter, PJ, Szczerba Jr., Carly Szczerba, Jessica Dorman (Hertsenberg) and Brian Hertsenberg.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph Szczerba (Eileen), Francis Szczerba, Michael Szczerba (Martha Ann) and Mary Anne O'Neill; and his brothers-in-law, William Carello and Anthony'Buddy'Dorazio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
