Though Max may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret and Max; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Peirce Matteson; and his children, Meg Aument (Dave), Max Matteson III (Carol) and Amy Evans. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
