With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Clifton of Houston, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Clifton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wright C. Ward and Elizabeth N. Ward (Hudson); her husband H. Donald Clifton; and her sister Janet Elizabeth Hamilton. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Thoroughgood (Glenn) and Steve Clifton (Karen); her grandsons, Jason King (Ashley), Justin King (Heather), Jamie King (Haley), Stephen Clifton (Kristyn) and Peirce Clifton (Lexi); her great grandchildren, Caden King, Colton King, Delaney King, Chase King, Sloane King, Abbott King, Callahan Clifton and McKellen Clifton; and her caregivers, Crystal Cramer and Jackie Figart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Houston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 43, Houston, DE 19954.
