She was predeceased by: her spouse Senator Allen J. Cook, Sr.; and her stepson Allen J. Cook, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Thomas J. Cook (Beth); her granddaughter Morgan Cook; her significant other Jared Urban; her great grandchild Jett Thomas Urban; her stepgrandchildren, Allen Cook, III (Cindy), Dale Cook (Debbie) and Shawn Cook (Stacy); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Courtney (Jack), Jarrett, Brendan (Kristonna), Cassidy (Jack) and Kenley (Aidan); her stepgrandchildren, Brayden, Brendan and Beckett; her sister Joan Maxwell (Casey, family: Stacey Jones); her nieces and nephews, Meghan and Aeddan; her great-nephew Brian Maxwell (Carrie); Judy Cook, Isabella and Brooke.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Senator Nancy W. Cook's enduring legacy and her instrumental role in the founding of the Biggs Museum of American Art.
