He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Richard Hitchens (First Lady Alberta Hitchens) and Alberta Hitchens; his wife Helen Hitchens; his son Tyrone Brackett; and his siblings, Sylvia Oney (Joe), Theodore (Ardella), William Alvin (Claudette) and Louis (Margo).
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Brackett of Bridgeville and Timothy Hitchens of Parsonsburg; his granddaughter Leilani Rose Hitchens of Parsonsburg, Maryland.; and his niece Jameszenna Roach.
