He was predeceased by: his father David "Sonny" Evans; and his sister Carol Jean Callaway. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ellen West Evans; his daughters, Ashley Evans, Whitney Evans (Yani Soto), Courtney Bristow (Bryce) and Amanda Evans; his siblings, Ricky Evans (Jodi) and Shelley Evans; his grandchildren, Ashtyn Cornelius (Morgan), Ty Jefferson, Palmer Short, Carter Bristow and Briggs Bristow; his father-in-law Edgar Nichols (Betty Ann Nichols); his brother-in-law Steve Callaway; and his pet Benny. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in David's memory to the Laurel Little League and Trap Pond.
