Emma leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Emma’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Emma will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Carl T. Darby and Rachel F. Darby; husband: William W. Cooper; daughter: Deborah Eufemia (Mikey); sons: Barry W. Cooper (predeceased), Fay Cooper (widow of Barry), Allen Cooper, Pete Cooper (Laura), Mark Cooper (Joyce) and Jeffrey Cooper (Lora); siblings: Margaret Mitchell, Hilda Lankford, Thomas Darby, Wanda Shockley, Harold Darby and Eileen Smith; daughters-in-law: Linda Cooper (predeceased) and Pam Cooper (predeceased); grandchildren: Jocelyn Shea "Pooh" Cooper (predeceased), Jennifer Steele (Howard), Brittany Siegel (John), Laura Cox (Randy), Brandon Cooper, Shane Cooper (Karen), Rachel Duncan (Ricky) and Ally Cooper; other: Sr. Pastor Barry Dukes, Randy Marine; and twelve great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Connection Church (28714 Seaford Rd, Laurel, DE 19956). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
