She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Emory Sweigard and Ida Ellen Sweigard (Shoop); her husband Robert W. Chandler; and her sister Mary Crissinger. She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Chandler (Michelle Forshey) of Laurel, DE and Teresa Derrickson (Lee) of Dagsboro, DE.; her grandchildren, Michael Merrick of Laurel, DE, Kathleen Merrick-Burke (Chris) of Carlingford and Robert E. Chandler (Robyn) of Delmar, MD.; and her great grandchildren, Matthew Merrick, Logan Merrick, Elizabeth Covey, Charlie E. Burke and Bronte O. Burke.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that people donate blood to their local blood bank.
