He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Vernon "Bud" Truitt (Betty) and Helena Hudson Drzewicki (Tom); his grandparents, Vernon and Jennie Pearl Truitt; his brother George C. Drzawicki; his uncle Paul; his aunt Joan Morin; his cousin Ken Hudson; and his aunt Mabel Hudson.
He is survived by: his sons, Thaddeus James Truitt and Michael Benjamin Truitt (Melissa); his granddaughters, Novie Truitt and Sophie Truitt; his siblings, Bruce Truitt (Teri), David Truitt (Jennifer), Chris Truitt, Matthew Truitt (Judy), Quinette Truitt Mahlow, Thomas Drzewicki and Dawn Drzewicki; and his cousins, Paula Hudson Helms (Bill) and Guy Morin (Lynne). He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bay Shore Community Church (36759 Millsboro Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
