He was predeceased by: his parents, Freda Hudson Burton and Captain William Virden Burton, Jr.; and his brother William "Skipper" Virden Burton, III. He is survived by: his children, Carey Burton of Milton, DE, Bruce Burton, Jr. of Lewes, DE, Shannon Street of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Harrigan of Milton, DE, Taylor Harrigan of Milton, DE and Justin Harrigan of Milton, DE; and his siblings, Randy Burton (Riki) of Lewes, DE, Chris Hocker Allen (Bob) of Ocean View, DE and Sandra Burton Strahosky (Bill) of Mechanicsburg, PA..
