He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cantler and Florence Gagnon Cantler; his wife Perla Allen Cantler; his siblings, Robert Cantler, Betty Jane Ventura and Margaret DiBonis; and his stepchildren, Vernon Ridgley and Penny Young.
He is survived by: his daughter Charlie Duke (Larry); his brother Milton Cantler; and his stepchildren, Preston Ridgley (Barbara), Mary Ann Ridgley, Donna DiMarco (Joe), William Stone (Debbie), Bobby McClinton (Ray), Rita Carter (Glenn), Linda Quernemoen (Gary) and Rose Oteri (Tony). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Midway Assembly of God (34677 Old Postal Ln, Lewes, DE 19958). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701).
