He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Heit and Anna Heit; his former wife Regina Carol Heit; his wife Ellen Heit; and his siblings, Raymond Heit, Allyn Heit, Marilyn Leibovitz, Elliot Heit and Lucille Rosin.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen (Robin), Amy Vaillancourt (Greg), Laura Heit and Linda Marra (Paul); his grandchildren, Kirsten (Sam), Christopher (Mary), Allison (Scott), Jason and Regina (Nathan); and his great grandchild John "Jack".
