She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Hamilton Cameron (Harry Cameron) and Aberdeen. She is survived by: her son Glenn Edward Backus of Mamaroneck, NY; her spouse Robin Howe Backus; her grandchildren, Glenn Edward Backus, Jr., Troy James Backus (Audrey) and Frances Jessup Scher (Jedediah Scher); and her daughter-in-law Suzanne Backus. She is also survived by her family as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend.
She was a devout Roman Catholic, and she held many volunteer jobs including Make a Wish Foundation and Head Start.
