She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Chaffee and Nora Chaffee; and her husband George Powell Lyon. She is survived by: her daughters, Janette Benjamin (Scott), Laura Gibbons (Paul) and Pamela Lyon Kandora (Peter); her grandchildren, Allison (Ben), James (Samantha), Kirsten, Sarah (Brandon), Wesley (Brittany), Acadia and Kai; and her great grandchildren, Finley, Cameron and Marc.
