He is survived by: his wife Jean Bakkegard (Collins) of Lewes, DE; his children, Kristin A. Bakkegard of Hoover, AL, John I. Bakkegard of Vestavia Hills, AL and Koren L. Bakkegard of Barrington, RI; his brothers, Ken Bakkegard of Minot, ND and Robert Bakkegard of Canyonville, OR; his grandsons, John Ellis Bakkegard (Eli) of Trussville, AL, Samuel (Sam) and Thomas Barrick (Tom) of Barrington, RI.; and his caregivers, Missy Curry, Myra Kuhn, Roberts and Anna James.
