With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen Lopez of Lewes, Delaware, born in Rutherford, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Vincent Custer. She is survived by: her mother Helen Custer (Mahar); her husband Joe Lopez Sr.; her children, Jeanette Alvarez of PeachTree Corners, GA, Danielle Janson (Eric) of Herndon, VA, Joseph Lopez (Jenna) of Rehoboth, DE and Michael Lopez; her siblings, Marianne Moore, Vincent Custer (Lorraine), Robert Custer (Kathleen) and John Muller (Michelle); and her sister-in-law Beatrice Loftus (Pat). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963.
