Paulette C. Lazzaro Obituary
We announce the death of Paulette C. Lazzaro (Lewes, Delaware), who passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Paulette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Cleaver, Jr. (Rick); her parents, Melvin Collins and Lil Collins; her sister Joyce Toy; her sister-in-law Joyce Collins; her son-in-law Christopher M. Shea; and her grandson Preston Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph M. Lazzaro; her children, Frederick Cleaver, III (Robie), Kelly Jones, Shannon Fowler (Robert) and Susan Calhoun (Daniel); her grandchildren, Christopher M. Shea, Jr. (Sydney Billings), Caroline Fowler, Elizabeth Shea, Alexandra Cleaver, Edwards Jones, Jr., Isaac Fowler and Abigail Cleaver; her children, Dominic Lazzaro (Sarah) and Alyssa Sweeney (Dennis); her grandchildren, Kayla Horne (Matt), Jenna and Noah Calhoun; her children, Grace Lazzaro, Dennis, Brody, Luca, Lorenzo, Allegra, Francesca Sweeney, Henry, Vincent and Isabelle Lazzaro; her pets, Carly, Sooty, Coal and Inky; her brothers, Robert Collins (Karen) and Jeffery Collins (Phyllis); and her siblings-in-law, J. Christopher Cleaver (Lorraine) and Suzanne Cleaver. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (129 W 4th St, Lewes, DE 19958).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Paulette's memory to make a donation to Concerns of Police Survivors (DE Chapter), P.O. Box 430, Dover, DE, 19901; or Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, DE, 19958 – two organizations that were meaningful to her.
