He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alice B. Aversa (Johnson) and Vincent J. Aversa; his wife Marlene P. Aversa; his daughter Carrie A Gruentzel (Michael); his grandchildren, Carissa, Katelyn and Ryan; his siblings, Vincent Aversa Jr. (Carol), Guy Aversa and Barbara L. Sykes (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Anita Thibodeaux (Charest), Lois Dunson and Michael Pitman (Frances). He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and grandnieces as well as many cousins.
