Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Richard for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Maxwell, and Leonard Maxwell, Sr.; and his siblings, Len Maxwell and Nancy St. Pierre. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Jean" Maxwell; and his children, Audrey Riddle (Jeff), Richard L. Maxwell, Jr. (Danette) and Barbara O'Neal (Cory Taylor). He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Manor House (14 Manor House Ln, Lewes, DE 19958).
