He was predeceased by: his parents, Glendall Maurice Daniel and Ina Faye Daniel (Young); his brother Landreth Michael "Mike" Daniel; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas "Britt" Brewer, Brady Brewer and Roger Seacord.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Daniel (Brewer); his children, Carrie Daniel and Brent Daniel (Maggie); his granddaughters, Isabelle and Vivian Daniel; and his sisters-in-law, Sheila Daniel, Zilda Wilson (Jim), Lorie Gambill, Merry Belle Seacord, Beth Brewer and Clara Brewer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He requested, in lieu of flowers, that all who knew and loved him carry out an act of kindness in his honor.
