With sadness, we share the passing of William Thomas Dorey Jr. of Lewes, Delaware. William passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember William for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. William’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Dorey and June Gillen Dorey of New Castle, Delaware.. He is survived by: his children, Jane Negley (Rick), William Dorey III (Angela) and Jill Hanson; his stepdaughter Carrie Wolf; and his grandchildren, William Dorey IV (Barbara), Shane Dorey, Val Negley and Finn Negley.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Irish Eyes (213 Anglers Road, Lewes, DE.).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tim's memory to the Parkinson's Education & Support Group of Sussex County, P.O. Box 56, Lewes, DE 19958, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
