William Lee Oakes Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on May 4, 2025, at the age of 81, William Lee Oakes Sr. of Lewes, Delaware passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, William Lee shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William Lee farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Langford Oakes and Edna May Oake Read (Hopkins); and his brothers, Harry Langford Oakes Jr., Robert B. Oakes (Gaye) and Donald J. Oakes (Faye).
He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley McGinley (John), Judy Franciscus (Richard), Patricia Palmer (Thomas) and Kathleen Copinger (Bryan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
