He is survived by: his wife Beth (Mawson); his children, Shawn Flaherty (Candice) of Escondido, CA, Shannon Flaherty of Apex, NC, Ryan Flaherty (Jessica) of Camden-Wyoming, DE, Brendan Flaherty (Erin) of Clayton, NC and Katie Phillips (Christopher) of Lugoff, SC.; his sister Maureen Flaherty of Manchester, CT; his sisters-in-law, Stacie Mawson of Manchester, CT and Suzanne McDougal (Bill) of South Windsor, CT; and his nieces and nephews, Kara, Kelle, Nathan, Michael and Brian. He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.
Donations in honor of Steve may be made to the Fisher House Foundation's "Families of the Fallen" House at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.
