Joseph leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Joseph’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joseph will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Saus and Julian Saus; and his wife Sachiko Saus. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph K. Saus (Gabrielle Cowan) and David Saus; his granddaughter Juliette Saus; his sister Carol Toomey (John); his niece Colleen; and his nephew Sean.
Viewing was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (522 Main St, Marydel, MD 21649).
