He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. and Helen Lois Franklin, Sr. (Hartley). He is survived by: his children, Joshua Franklin (Alexus), Holly Schroeder (Jordan) and Heather Shively; his grandson Rowan Franklin; and his siblings, Charles Franklin, Jr. (Debbie), Ruth Preisch (Stan), Dale Franklin and Melba Saxton (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home (121 W Park Pl, Newark, DE 19711). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
