He was predeceased by: his parents, William Davitt and Alice Davitt (McCrea); his wife Sharon Davitt (Duplain); his grandson Dylan Vecchiarelli; and his sister-in-law Diane Davitt.
He is survived by: his children, Heather Crist (Sergio), Jason Davitt (Sheetal), Joan Vecchiarelli and Ray Vecchiarelli; his siblings, Michael Davitt (Caren), Peggy Lawless (Jay), William Davitt and Gary Davitt (Diana); and his grandchildren, Alexis, Madison, Jonathan, Saheli, Aanya, Jennifer, Raymond, Jacklynn, Lexy, Melissa and Jessica. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
